* platform/x86: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()Uwe Kleine-König2024-10-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove() return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for platform drivers. Convert all platform drivers below drivers/platform/x86/ to use .remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer. While touching these files, make indention of the struct initializer consistent in several files. * platform/x86: intel: chtwc_int33fe: Use 2-argument strscpy()Andy Shevchenko2024-06-031-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | Use 2-argument strscpy(), which is not only shorter but also provides an additional check that destination buffer is an array. * usb: typec: change altmode SVID to u16 entryDmitry Baryshkov2023-12-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | As stated in the changelog for the commit 7b458a4c5d73 ("usb: typec: Add typec_port_register_altmodes()"), the code should be adjusted according to the AltMode bindings. As the SVID is 16 bits wide (according to the USB PD Spec), use fwnode_property_read_u16() to read it. * platform/x86: intel: chtwc_int33fe: Convert to platform remove callback ↵Uwe Kleine-König2023-03-071-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | returning void The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Follow the advice of the below link and prefer 'strscpy' in this subsystem. Conversion is 1:1 because the return value is not used. Generated by a coccinelle script. | | | | | | | | | | | | Module removal fails because cht_int33fe_typec_remove() tries to access driver data that does not exist. Fixing by assigning the data at the end of probe. * platform/x86: intel_cht_int33fe: Move to intel directoryHans de Goede2022-02-111-0/+437
Now that there is only 1 c-file left of the intel_cht_int33fe code, move it to the intel directory instead of it having its own int33fe sub-directory. Note this also renames the module from intel_cht_int33fe_typec to intel_chtwc_int33fe, to better match the names of other PMIC related modules like the intel_chtdc_ti_pwrbtn module.
